Osteopath Treatment Prices ACC & Private

At ThreeSixty Osteopathy, we will always act with your best interests in mind. Your practitioner will advise you which type of treatment is most suitable for you.

If you have had a genuine injury, you may apply for the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) to subsidise your treatment. An ACC45 form will be completed by your practitioner - you do not need to go to the doctor first. Find out more about the ACC and whether or not you can make a claim here.

Most aches, pains and problems that have been manifesting gradually will be considered to require 'Private treatment'. This includes pains which have not had a specific mode of onset, i.e. no accident involved.

As we age, our bodies become less elastic generally, and the movement patterns we have performed over many years are now part of our body's structure. Unfortunately, most people over a certain age can also suffer from Arthritis and joint pains. At ThreeSixty Osteopathy, we believe it is still important for Retirees to have the treatment they need, and therefore offer a reduced rate for the same excellent treatment.

Here at ThreeSixty, we practice a type of therapy called 'Structural' Osteopathy ' working with the musculoskeletal structures (joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons). This type of treatment can be very useful for children (who are essentially very tiny adults!!) who have fallen, slipped, tripped, fallen etc and are suffering from an injury because of this. Children do not suffer from aches and pains as we adults do. So if they are complaining that something is sore, give us a call to see if we can help. We do not do 'Cranial' Osteopathy ' this is very useful for newborn babies and toddlers who have problems like teething, colic, digestive issues, problems feeding etc. But we can recommend an excellent Cranial Osteopath nearby, so call us for more information.

There are certain developmental (growth) problems that we will check for in teenagers who are complaining of pain. These problems will largely be outgrown with time, but Osteopathy is very good at managing the pain thorough these growth phases. If we have any doubt about what the problem is, we will refer you to either your Doctor or a specialist for further assessment. In a lot of teenagers, 'growing pains' are common. This is generally when the bones grow quickly, and the muscles struggle to stretch to catch up. Sometimes the body also grows faster on one side than the other, causing a wonkiness also commonly called 'Scoliosis'. Find out more about this condition here – it may be transient, and could resolve well with some treatment.

Letters - Sometimes you may need to have a letter written to a specialist, or be referred back to your Doctor with details of our Osteopathic diagnosis and treatment. This takes about 20 minutes, and therefore we need to charge a small fee of $10.

ACC32 forms - If you require more treatment than initially allocated by the ACC, we may need to apply on your behalf (and with your permission) for additional sessions. This requires an ACC32 form to be completed which also takes about 20 minutes for the practitioner to do. We will only complete these forms if we think you application will be successful.

Referrals for X-rays and Ultrasound scans are free.
